ENTRY LEVEL MINING/GEOLOGIC ENGINEER
Mining and Environmental Services, LLC is looking for an
entry level or early-in-career Mining Engineer for its mine
contracting and consulting company located near Empire, 30
minutes from the west side of the Denver metro area on the
I-70 corridor.
Key Responsibilities specific to this position include:
• Safety Program Administration, including assisting
with MSHA and OSHA compliance, safety plans, reporting.
• Engineering Support & AutoCAD design for project
implementation
• Cost Estimating and Bid Support: find vendors and
subcontractors and obtain price quotations, interpret plans
and specifications to estimate quantities, develop labor
and machine cycle time estimates, assist with overall cost
estimates
• Project Support: Assist with procurement,
schedules, submittals, logistics support for contract and
in-house projects; invoicing; in-field project supervision;
interaction with clients and regulators
• Applicant should posses an operating knowledge of
AutoCAD, geologic and/or mine modeling software strong
computer skills.
• Position required a B.S. degree in Mining
Engineering, Geologic Engineering, or closely related
field. FE exam completion is a plus.
• Interest and/or experience in underground mining
and underground construction projects
General Responsibilities include:
1. Maintain accurate daily records of work performed
on machines, and time and materials used.
2. Have and maintain a valid Colorado Class C driver’s
license with good driving record.
3. Be able to work in awkward positions under, around
and over equipment, lift 75 pounds, and manipulate tools as
required.
4. Ability to punctually work scheduled hours with
regular attendance. Accept supervision and direction from
management and comply with company policies. Be able to
get along with others in workplace. Looks out for
company’s best interest when making decisions. Approaches
work with sense of urgency and positive energy.

Office Manager / Bookkeeper
Office Manager / Bookkeeper for small contracting and
consulting company located near Empire, 30 minutes from the
west side of the Denver metro area and in the heart of
Colorado’s mountain recreation. Responsibilities include:
1) Handling routine telephone calls and business
correspondence;
2) Daily administration of Bookkeeping system, including:
• Accounts Payable/ Receivable;
• Job Costing - posting of invoices and labor charges
to cost codes;
• Pre-processing payroll for payroll service and
allocating hours to Worker's Comp job class codes;
• Maintaining General Ledger and preparation of
monthly, quarterly and annual working financial statements,
and assist with complilation of annual financials for
reviewing CPA
• Maintain Sales, Special Mobile Machinery rental,
and miscellaneous tax reporting.
3) Maintaining Vendor /Subcontractor records (W-9 and
Insurance Certificates, subcontracts, etc.)
4) Assist with solicitation of quotations and purchasing
and expediting of goods and subcontracted services and
equipment, handling of export and import documents, etc.
5) Tracking of permits, registrations, and compliance
deadlines, completion of misc. compliance forms and
reports, including MSHA and OSHA safety reporting, DOT
files, BATFE files, etc.
6) Miscellaneous data and records compilation, analysis
and filing and organizing, including insurance records,
worker’s comp, personnel files, corporate entity filings,
etc.;
7) Other administrative duties, light janitorial work and
handling of small boxes weighing up to 40 pounds.
8) Valid Colorado Class C driver’s license with good
driving record.
9) Ability to punctually work scheduled hours with

This is a key position within the firm, and we are looking
for a bright person with a strong work ethic and
significant recent previous related experience who is
capable of functioning well in a multitasking setting with
minimal guidance. Office environment is casual dress, and
some flexibility of hours may be considered.
Accounting or closely related degree preferred. Significant
documented formal college-level coursework in accounting
and proficiency in all aspects of Word and Excel are
required. Familiarity with modern computerized accounting
systems required. Salary commensurate with experience. We

Mining Equipment Mechanic
Mining Equipment Mechanic for mine contracting and
consulting company located near Empire, 30 minutes from the
west side of the Denver metro area and in the heart of
Colorado’s mountain recreation. Responsibilities include:
1) Troubleshooting, repairing and maintaining mobile
underground and surface equipment: LHDs, Jumbos, Mine
trucks, utility vehicles, locomotives, etc, including
mechanical, hydraulic and onboard electrical systems and
components, including engines, gearboxes, hydraulic
cylinders, pumps, and valves.
Strong skills in fabrication blueprint and electrical and
hydraulic schematic interpretation, and the ability to make
measurements and mathematical calculations for fitting,
testing, fabrication and machining is required.
2) Perform metal fabrication for equipment repair and
contracting project support: layout, cutting, welding,
grinding;
3) Troubleshoot and maintain onboard equipment
electrical systems;
4) Clean and lubricate trucks, heavy equipment;
5) Assist with maintenance of yard and company
buildings, including cleanup and organizing;
6) Pickup parts and supplies from vendors
7) Troubleshoot and maintain pneumatic equipment such
as rock drills, air motors, etc.
8) Maintain daily records of work performed on
machines, and time and materials used.
9) Have and maintain a valid Colorado Class C driver’s
license with good driving record.
10) Be able to work in awkward positions under, around
and over equipment, lift 75 pounds, and manipulate tools as
required.
