Job Clerk/Bookkeeper


Job Clerk/ Bookkeeper for underground mining contracting 
and consulting company, with project at Creede, Colorado. 

Responsibilities include:

  1. Handling routine telephone calls and business correspondence;
  2. Daily administration of job bookkeeping system, including:
    • Accounts Payable/ Receivable to head office;
    • Job Costing – accurate posting of equipment rental, materials and labor charges to job cost ledger and client billing in Excel from daily timecards, shift sheets and materials slips;
    • Pre-processing payroll for payroll service and allocating hours to Worker's Comp job class codes and job phases;
  3. Keeping employee personnel and medical files and MSHA- required training records up to date. Keeps track of required refreshers, re-examinations, etc. and schedules to maintain compliance.
  4. Assist with solicitation of quotations and purchasing and expediting of goods and subcontracted services and equipment, making shipping arrangements, etc. Maintains receiving, inventory and consumption documents for explosives use at mine. Must be able to pass federal BATFE background check.
  5. Miscellaneous data and records compilation, analysis and filing and organizing, including insurance records, worker’s comp, personnel files, corporate entity filings, etc.;
  6. Other administrative duties, light janitorial work and handling of small boxes weighing up to 40 pounds. Possess and maintains valid Class C driver’s license with good driving record.
  7. General: Ability to work scheduled hours with regular attendance. Accept supervision and direction from management and comply with company policies. Lead Mining Mechanic


Lead Mining Mechanic for mine contracting company. Work 
location will be at various underground mine project sites 
in the Western US, with initial assignment at Creede, 
Colorado.

Responsibilities and key knowledge areas include:

  1. Troubleshooting, repairing and maintaining mobile underground and surface equipment: LHDs, Jumbos, Mine trucks, utility vehicles, etc.
  2. Ability to perform expert-level internal overhaul of diesel engines and heavy equipment drivetrain and hydraulic components.
  3. Strong skills in blueprint and schematic interpretation, and the ability to make accurate measurements and basic mathematical calculations for fitting, testing, fabrication and machining is required.
  4. Train and lead less-skilled mechanics.
  5. Perform metal fabrication for equipment repair and contracting project support: layout, cutting, welding, grinding;
  6. Troubleshoot and maintain onboard equipment electrical, mechanical and hydraulic systems and components;
  7. Troubleshoot and maintain pneumatic equipment such as rock drills, air motors, etc.
  8. Assist with solicitation of quotations and purchasing and expediting of repair parts as required.
  9. Maintain accurate daily records of work performed on machines, and time and materials used.
  10. Ability to operate basic shop machining equipment, including lathe, drill press, milling machine, etc.
  11. Have and maintain a valid driver’s license with good driving record.

Underground Miners


Experienced Underground Miners for underground mine 
contracting company. Work location will be at Creede, 
Colorado.

Responsibilities and key knowledge areas include:
  1. Operation of mobile underground and surface equipment: LHDs, Jumbo drills, Mine trucks, utility vehicles, etc,
  2. Able to skillfully operate pneumatic mining drills, including jackleg, stoper and sinker.
  3. Perform rock bolting, scaling, drilling, explosives loading and blasting, mucking and other parts of the mining cycle. Performs underground construction, utilities installation and other special projects work incidental to mining operations.
  4. Makes safety examinations of assigned work areas and corrects deficiencies. Maintains safety conscious work habits. Follows all MSHA, State and Company safety regulations, policies. Performs and documents pre-shift examination of assigned work area(s) and inspection of assigned mining equipment;
  5. General: Ability to work scheduled hours with regular attendance. Accept supervision and direction from management and comply with company policies. Mine Electrician


Mine Electrician for mine contracting company. Work 
location will be at Creede, Colorado.

Responsibilities and key skill areas include:

  1. Strong skills in schematic interpretation, AC and DC theory, NEC and 30 CFR Part 57 requirements. Ability to make accurate measurements. Mathematical skills as needed for electrical calculations are required.
  2. Fully knowledgeable in three phase 480 volt mine power systems. Experience with mine high voltage distribution systems is a plus.
  3. Troubleshoot and maintain equipment electrical and control systems for underground mine equipment, including jumbos, bolters etc. Both modern PLC and traditional electromechanical relay ladder logic control system experience is important.
  4. Troubleshoot and maintain and perform new electrical installations of stationary and portable equipment, including fans, pumps, load centers and transformers.
  5. Inspect and/or test electrical equipment and installations for safe conditions and compliance with applicable laws, regulations, and standards.

Responsibilities include:

  1. Assist with troubleshooting, repairing and maintaining mobile underground and surface equipment: loaders, drill rigs, Mine trucks, utility vehicles, locomotives, etc, including mechanical, hydraulic and onboard electrical systems and components, including engines, gearboxes, hydraulic cylinders, pumps, and valves.   3. Project Support: Assist with procurement, schedules, submittals, logistics support for contract and in-house projects; invoicing; in-field project supervision; interaction with clients and regulators
  4. Applicant should posses an operating knowledge of AutoCAD. Other geologic and/or mine modeling software is a plus.
  5. Surveying to map existing mine workings and lay out advancing mine development.
  6. Position requires at least a B.S. degree in Mining Engineering, Civil Enginnering, Geologic Engineering, or closely related field. FE exam completion is a plus.
