MINING & ENVIRONMENTAL SERVICES

MES provides both specialized contracting services and limited and specialized technical consultation and design. Projects include mining and tunneling, transportation, and general civil.

Typical projects include:

• mine cleanup and closure
   

• underground tunneling and tunnel repair
   

• mine special projects
   

• drilling and blasting
   

• rock/soil stabilization
   

• mine rehabilitation and development
   

• grouting and water control

MES also operates via a wholly-owned subsidiary named Mountain Blasting Services LLC.

Number of employees, typical: 5 to 30 depending on contract status. Additionally, a number of consulting associates are brought to bear when a specific project has need of appropriate specialists.

MES has provided technical resources on projects involving specialized underground mine technical evaluation, sampling and/or mapping, for mineral resources, physical or subsidence hazards, and/or environmental evaluation at over 300 mine sites.

MES has provided contracting for tunnel/mine/mill rehabilitation, closure, or cleanup work at over 150 sites.
